Purpose

This helps novice players begin to develop ball control in passing

Setup

  • Each player gets a ball. Have players spread out so they are at least 8-10 feet apart.

How it works

  • Players toss the ball a few feet into the air and then try to bump the ball back up into the air.
  • Have players count how many times they can bump the ball into the air without it touching the ground.

Coaching Tips

  • Reinforce the importance of using proper form while completing this drill.
  • Players should lift with their legs as much as their arms.
