Purpose

This helps novice players begin to develop ball control in passing

Setup

  • Each player gets a ball. Have players spread out and stand around 6-10 feet from a high wall.

How it works

  • Players toss the ball a few feet into the air and bump the ball against the wall so it returns and allows them to bump the ball toward the wall again.
  • Have players count how many times they can bump the ball against the wall without it touching the ground.

Coaching Tips

  • Reinforce the importance of using proper form while completing this drill.
  • Players should lift with their legs as much as their arms.
