Purpose

To practice moving before passing while incorporating conditioning into the drill.

Setup

  • Position 3-4 players near the net facing back court. Each of these players gets a ball.
  • Position 3-4 players on the back line facing each player at the net.

How it works

  • Each back line player runs forward and the player at net tosses them the ball around the 10 ft line. Each back line player passes the ball and then runs backwards, touches the back line, and then returns forward for another pass.
  • Repeat this 10 times and then have players switch roles.
  • You can repeat this again with passes from around 20 feet from the net for more difficult passing.

Notes

  • This can be run on both sides of the court simultaneously for a total of 9-12 players doing the drill at once.
