Purpose

To warm up players’ arm muscles.

Setup

  • Have players pair up and give each pair a ball (if there is an uneven number of players, let one group have three)
  • Have each pair of players stand across the court from each other.

How it works

Using your hitting arm throw the ball back and forth to each to other warming up your hitting shoulder and arm. This only needs to be done for a couple of minutes to loosen up the shoulder joint.

Coaching tips

  • Encourage the players to stretch their arms as they throw
